The monthly luncheon meeting of Houston's Chapter 105
was held on
Tuesday, October 12th, 1999 at the Golden Corral restaurant. The meeting
was called to order by Chairman Chuck Primrose at 12:24pm. There was no
old business to discuss. In new business, several comments were made
about our meeting place. It was suggested that the group return to the
Salt Grass restaurant due to better availability of a suitable meeting
place. Also, GBS volunteered to host the group's Christmas meeting and
dinner. This meeting will be held at a place and date to be determined,
mostly likely in the early part of December.
Danney Stanley made remarks about the upcoming SMPTE/SBE NASA
Meeting
for Part II of the NVision DTV Training October 23rd. Part I was held at Fox Ch26
earlier this year. Danney mentioned that we have still not received our rebate
check from SBE National and that he would followup immediately.
Danney also announced that we have a new Sustaining Member . . ."NVISION".
On the subject of the newsletter, the Chapter suggested to Danney that,
due to lack of material, the newsletter be published every 30 or 60 days,
but to wait no more than 60 days between newsletters. It was also suggested we,
as a group, give information as to what's going on at our individual
shops-sort of "what's up at my station".
George Schank briefed the Chapter on the upcoming HL&P
Meeting the
last of this month and that he thought it would be a really good meeting.
There being no further business to attend to, the meeting was
adjourned at 12:44pm.
