                       CHAPTER 105 MEETING REPORT

BUSINESS:  Albert Vargas called the meeting to order at 12:20 PM.  Ennis Workshop was
first to be discussed.  Location:  Houston Marriott West, 13210 Katy Freeway.  $49 for SBE
& SMPTE Members, $69 for Non-Members.  Dan Stanley & Tim Giesler to form the
Sponsorship Committee & try and get some local companies to sponsor the lunch & breaks.
Logitek & others  were suggested as possible sponsors.

Next discussion centered around the upcoming TAB Convention.  Our chapter should have
a strong showing at the SBE Regional Meeting.  Several in attendance today plan on being
at the regional meeting along with others.  There is a good seminar on ENG Safety believed
to be Friday morning.  All attending the convention should try to make this one. 

The News Letter needs more articles.  Please take some time to write a story about a recent
project you have completed or related topics!  

The following motion was made by Tim Giesler, seconded by Richard Gerlovich, & unanimously
approved by verbal vote:  Add Fred Morton, newly elected Treasurer, to the banks signature
file so that Fred will be able to write & sign checks on behalf of the Chapter as per his duties
as Chapter Treasurer.

Next months meeting was discussed.  Meeting date is Aug. 8th.  TAB is the following week,
16-18th.   It was agreed upon to have our regular scheduled meeting.  This months meeting
announcement was not mailed.  Tim & George agreed to make sure this does not happen again.

Treasure report was made by Richard Gerlovich (past treasure). 6/20th balance $2,144.03. 
Discussion followed as what to do with the money.  Possible projects include: Scholarships, 
High School teachers & students passes to ENNIS Workshop & membership recruiting. 
Please think about these topics and/or others and bring your ideas to the next meeting.   

Job Openings:  KTRU, Rice Univ.., has a part-time (1/2) chief engineer job available.
                                      Full benefits are included with this part-time job. 

                         KSBJ . . .will have a position available in August. 
                                        Also part-time, Remote Engineer Position.  Possible full-time in near future.
