PROGRAM NOTES

We continue to work on putting together quality programs for each
of
our evening meetings. as always, your input is essential in planning
meaningful and educational programs. If you have subjects that are of
interest to you, I invite you to contact me at my office or at one of the
day meetings. Chances are that if your interested in a particular subject,
there are also other engineers who might be.
So far this year, we've had meetings dealing with remote truck
antenna
mast safety, and arranged meetings with engineers from Reliant Energy.
Several equipment manufacturers have attended our meetings and given
interesting presentations. We've also had meetings at places like the
National Weather Service. While agencies like that aren't
"engineering"
related, they still have an impact on the jobs we do in areas such as EAS
and disaster news coverage.
Our next evening activity will be on December 6, at Vennie's
Italian
Restaurant, 5413 Bellaire Blvd. in Houston. This will be our annual
Holiday event sponsored by the fine folks at Giesler Broadcasting Supply.
It's the only meeting we will have during December; so you won't want to
miss it! I'll spend the rest of the year visiting with our chapter
officers to develop a game-plan for next years evening programs. So, keep
those cards and letters coming with your suggestions as we move Chapter 105
into the next century!
