Chapter 105 met at the Salt Grass Steak House. The meeting was officially called to order at 12:27 by the Chairman, Chuck Primrose. Chuck welcomed the members and introduced the special guest from Crouse Kimzey - John Lackness and Wray Reed. Chuck mentioned that the last meeting regarding certification was a success and thanked Richard Goldy for his efforts. Also, George Schank's presentation on ENG hazards was very informational.

Richard Gerlovich said there was about the same amount in the bank, with no major swings either way. Chapter 105 has not yet received the estimated $500-600 check from National. Danney Stanley volunteered to check into the status of this check.

Dave Biondi said that Danney is doing a great job on the web page. Dave also mentioned his project of putting a radio station on the web COMPLETE with equipment commercials. We of course would have it no other way. Lastly, Dave mentioned to all members to click on to National's page - a lot of work has gone into this site with more helpful information.

Danney Stanley announced that as of the AM of this meeting, National has confirmed that the Houston SBE has 78 members with 39 of that certified. Danney thanked Dave for all of his efforts with our local internet site and work overall for the SBE.

Maurice Superville is the winner of this months SBE cap. He wore it proudly out of the restaurant.

Chuck then turned the meeting over to our friends John and Wray. They brought in some "unbelievable" 50 ohm coax cable. John did work up a sweat (and turned red) showing us all the bending properties of this cable. The manufacturer is EUPEN. All of EUPEN's connectors are compatible with the Andrew line (another plus). John advised us that the establish AETA codec is not ISDN ready along with it's previous POT features. A couple of real handy hand-held testers were demonstrated by John and Wray.

George Schank announced that the next meeting will be at the Golden Corral Steak House and that he is working with the HL&P folks on an evening meeting.    There also may not be an
evening meeting in September due to the TAB convention in San Antonio. Those dates are Sept 23 & 24th. If anyone needs passes contact your vendors that support your chapter (it's a freebee).
