How exciting to be part of a Chapter of SBE that has been able to help
other engineers in so many ways.
As your Membership Chairman I would like to
report that we show
as of Feb 1st a total of 88 members with 41 certified. The Beaumont Chapter
will be off and running we assume as of this publication. We support them completely
and intend on helping them however and whenever we are able. They will be
able to penetrate the area deeper . . . probably pulling from Lake Charles and
should grow rapidly once they become established.
SBE is needed in their area
in order to help upgrade the engineers
to their highest level. What this may mean to Chapter 105 is that we will be
decreasing in membership about 9 members. We need then to replace these
by reaching out to other engineers in our area and encourage them to become
involved.
Don't forget to renew
your membership dues and continue to support
your chapter however you are able. Ask fellow engineers to attend
meetings
with you . . .they may need some extra encouragement the first few meetings.
Share with them how SBE can do for them what no other entity can accomplish.
If you have not been able to attend the last few meetings, why not try to make
the next one when you can . . . I'll be looking for you !!
